Cleantech Commons partners with Ontario Environment Industry Association to support “QuickPitch” cleantech pitch competition

Recently, we launched our Cleantech Innovation Portal. Click here for more details.

This provides innovators with a personalized dashboard to create and update their company profile, view emerging commercial and funding opportunities, and log their progress and achievements. The platform offers a seamless application process that accelerates their response to a wide range of innovation initiatives and procurement opportunities published on the platform

As part of that launch, we promised that we would soon be announcing our first “challenge” – and today I am pleased to let you know that the “QuickPitch Challenge” is now live!

The “QuickPitch” pitch competition will form part of the Ontario Environment Industry Association’s upcoming “2021 Environment and Cleantech Business + Policy Forum”, taking place May 11-13 from 12:00 – 2:00pm daily.

At Cleantech Commons we have partnered to support this pitch initiative, which takes place at 1:00 pm EST on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.

At the QuickPitch competition, Forum participants get to hear about new innovations from four Ontario-based cleantech companies.

There will be 4 presenters in this session. Each speaker will be allowed no more than five minutes of presenting time with no more than 10 slides. At the five-minute mark, a bell rings and the pitch stops. Then those pitching respond to questions from a panel of friendly “dragons” about the nature of their business, project, etc.

The judges will select a winner, and there will also be a People’s Choice Award.

This is a great opportunity to reach a wide and relevant audience for your venture/ innovation. We encourage Ontario-based cleantech and environmental ventures to participate in this first Cleantech Innovation Portal Challenge!
