Cleantech Commons and StrikeUP partner to put women entrepreneurs at the forefront of Canada’s economic recovery.
With its vision of becoming Canada’s premier site for green technology innovation and entrepreneurship, Cleantech Commons at Trent University is hoping to inspire young women entrepreneurs of tomorrow by partnering with StrikeUp 2021, a virtual conference dedicated to providing a forum for growth, mentorship, and financing.
“As part of a comprehensive suite of value-added services, Cleantech Commons will provide aspiring student entrepreneurs with access to things such as mentorship, funding opportunities, business expertise and networks, collaborative co-working spaces, and shared labs, as well as commercialization training for researchers,” says Martin Yuill, Cleantech Commons executive director.
A key focus of this will be supporting current and aspiring women entrepreneurs in the fast-growing clean technology sector, which is projected to exceed $3.3 trillion by 2022.
“These are the technologies that will help move us closer to a net-zero future and will generate sustainable high-value cleantech jobs for our region,” Mr. Yuill says.
StrikeUP provides women entrepreneurs with an opportunity to learn from globally renowned Canadian women leaders who share a passion for uniting and strengthening entrepreneurship and women-led networks. Register for free here!
