Cleantech Challenge: Eco-friendly Waste Converter

Our friends at Innovative Solutions Canada (ISC) recently outlined a series of new programming and funding opportunities for startups and early-stage ventures at an event hosted by Cleantech Commons in Peterborough on Friday, February 14, 2020. Read that story here!

Cleantech Commons executive director, Martin Yuill, with Éric-Aimé Patry, the Manager of Outreach and Engagement at Innovative Solutions Canada

Éric-Aimé Patry, the Manager of Outreach and Engagement at Innovative Solutions Canada & Build in Canada Innovation Program, detailed the new programme and explained how cleantech startups can take advantage:

  • If a startup’s idea is selected, the venture could receive up to $150,000 to develop a proof of concept.
  • If proof of concept is approved, the company could receive up to $1 million to develop a prototype.
  • Receive up to $1.15 million to prove your concept and build a prototype!
  • And if the developed innovation solves the identified “challenge”, the government could become your first customer.

This week, we focus on the “Eco-friendly Waste ConverterChallenge, which closes on April 16, 2020.

This opportunity is for an eco-friendly way of self-managing garbage disposal on-site that is self-fueling and does not involve external transportation. Click here for further information and full application details!
